Thatched Bamboo Pavilion — A Landmark Spot at Xinxianggu Scenic Area, Zhangzhou

Set in the pastoral landscape of Changtai District, Zhangzhou, Fujian, the Xinxianggu Scenic Area now features a bamboo pavilion built by Yueteng that has become its most recognizable bamboo structure. The pavilion features a pointed profile, a thatched roof and a bamboo support frame standing on a circular platform — appearing to grow naturally out of the mountainside.

In construction, the pavilion’s full skeleton was built from raw bamboo and covered with a thatched roof, restoring a rustic, natural character while ensuring structural stability through careful joint connections and anti-corrosion treatment. Visitors can rest inside, while outside the pavilion pairs beautifully with greenery, distant hills and walking paths — both ornamental and functional.

As a scenic-area support structure, the project called for a compact, refined result. Yueteng delivered it quickly through standardized prefabrication and on-site assembly, demonstrating our ability to build bamboo pavilions and landscape features of any scale in cultural tourism settings.
